We have a lot to celebrate! Our community has grown immensely over the past two years and we want to take this night to thank all the mentors, volunteers, and speakers who have donated their time and energy to share their knowledge and strengthen our community. The event will be hosted at Starbucks HQ in SoDo.

ERIKA PELAEZ is a data scientist at Amazon with a passion for research, teaching, and deep learning. She started her data science career at a transportation startup in Mexico City. Previously, she’s been a spatial data scientist for CARTO, a location intelligence and mapping platform, and a technology analyst for the Manhattan District Attorney. KATE HERTWECK is a bioinformatics training manager at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and leader of fredhutch.io, which instructs members of the Hutch research community in reproducible computational methods.
