Join us for our online May Tech Talk "Cities + Transportation + Maps: How data science can be used for public policy and social impact" with Amy Smith - Data Scientist from Uber.

Data science is a powerful tool that can be applied across public, private, nonprofit, academic, and foundation research. Drawing from real-world examples, this talk will explore data science for public policy, focusing on the intersection of cities, transportation systems, and maps. Amy will also cover some commonly used geospatial analysis and data visualization techniques.

Amy Smith is a data scientist formerly on Uber's Policy Research & Economics team based in San Francisco. Her work focused on understanding the impacts of Uber on urban mobility in cities around the world.
