I am excited to start a new book "Hands-on Machine Learning with Scikit-learn, Keras and Tensorflow" by Aurelien Geron.

After surveying the group for the 2022 plan, we decided to go with a combination of theory + coding book. This book has a code snippet to explain the fundamentals, as well as the author has created a GitHub repository for readers to work on their own and understand, which is a huge plus.
Purpose and learning from this book:
1. Bolster our concept of ML and NNs.
2. Learn to quickly implement the concept using popular Python libraries Scikit-learn, eras and tensor flow.
3. Write and maintain code in GitHub, as well as help us visualize the concept better
4. Allow us to intuitively discuss the concept with the group based on examples, and exercise
5. Learn by sharing, explaining knowledge with enthusiastic group
Couple changes discussed for this new bookclub:
(This book club will still be voluntarily basis)
1. As it's a coding based book, we would like for volunteers representing a section to also go over the concept in the GitHub repository of the author at the very least.
2. Volunteers can use any medium to explain the concept.
3. Volunteers will share their coding experience and learning from their section with the group.
We will meet at our usual time, every Tuesday from 06:00 - 07:30 pm PST. Due to COVID, we will continue using Webex virtual events.
Details of the meet link will be shared 30 mins before the meetup on the slack channel.
Volunteers will be assigned a week before on the spot, and agenda for every meetup will be shared a week in advance on slack channel.
Hope to see you all. We will do these meetups via Webex. The password of the meeting will be posted on the Slack channel. To join slack channel , please follow: https://datacircles.org/join-us and add to channel #deeplearning_bookclub

Data Circles (ex 'Seattle Women in Data Science') was founded in February 2018 by Mahnaz Akbari with the intention to create a safe and welcoming space for women in data science to connect and excel together. Although our events are open to everybody, we host only female/non-binary speakers to highlight the role of this group in this field.
Our Mission: Data Circles(https://datacircles.org) is a supportive community that focuses on inspiring and empowering women in data science through professional development, knowledge sharing, and mentorship.
If you would like to volunteer and join our community, please reach out to the event organizers! Or fill in this form:
